Phoenix Contact FL WLAN 5111

Phoenix Contact's new FL WLAN 5110 WLAN access points are a further development of the successful FL WLAN 5100 device series, and will replace this range in 2018. The new FL WLAN 5110 devices are equipped with a modern WLAN wireless card and now only need two antenna connections (2x2 MIMO) instead of the three antenna connections (3x3 MIMO) previously needed. All other functions, as well as the design and device dimensions, are as per the previous device generation. The maximum data rate of both product versions via WLAN is 300 Mbps.

Turck Deutsch Connector Offerings for Mobile Equipment

Turck is expanding its Deutsch offering with the LED 12 VDC and 24 VDC 2-pin style Deutsch DT overmolded connectors. Designed for the mobile equipment industry, the connectors feature an integrated LED circuit on the wedgelock, allowing for multi-direction troubleshooting indication. Rugged contact design ensures longevity in demanding environments, while the overmolded design, TPE jacket, and IP67 rating provide additional reinforcement, abrasion, and oil resistance in a ready-to-use solution.

Turck has also released the first of a new series of DTM Deutsch overmolded connectors. The newly designed 3-pin offering provides an ideal solution for mobile equipment and oil and gas applications, where environmental factors such as shock, vibration, cold temperatures, moisture, and oils can affect performance. The DTM series features the same environmentally robust advantage of the DT connector series, but is intended for smaller wire gauge and lower current applications.

Pepperl+Fuchs Bebco EPS 6000 Purge System

Pepperl+Fuchs announces updates to their Bebco EPS 6000 Series Purge System. These updates include:

• Modified control unit housing
• Square housing with larger lid to provide a tighter gasket seal.
• Manifold is now easier to access, remove and install.
• Option to use metal cable glands for IS entries.
• Redesigned EPV vent
• Slotted vent cap allows for a more accurate flow rate.
• New Type 4X/IP66, plunger style, EPV vent for bottled gas or low flow, capable of purging at 2 SCFM.
• Improved connector end requires only one gasket to improve leakage.
• Updated certification to the latest standards of ATEX, cUL and CSA.

The 6000 series consists of the control unit (EPCU) and user interface (UIC) mounted in a 316L stainless steel Type 4X (IP66) enclosure with the pneumatic solenoid valve mounted on the unit. The EPV-6000 relief vent is separate and is mounted to the enclosure.

The user interface allows programming of up to 4 switch inputs, temperature modules, enclosure power contacts, 2 auxiliary outputs, and various operational functions. Also, the user interface screen allows monitoring and easy configuration.

Among the additional features are inputs for system bypass, enclosure power on/off, temperature overload and activation of Rapid Exchange flow for cooling or auxiliary relay for separate cooling source, and delay power shutdown. Component kits are available for custom installations.

Banner Engineering's DF-G3 fiber amplifiers, with their world-class long-range detection, are now available in models with visible red, infrared and long infrared LEDs to solve the broadest range of detection applications. Visible red LED can be used with glass or plastic fibers and allows for easy alignment of the light to the target. Infrared LEDs can only be used with glass fibers but provide twice the range and optical power of the visible red LED. The long wavelength infrared (1450 nm) must be used with glass fibers, but it provides a powerful and unique solution for detecting water based liquids. The 1450 nm light is strongly attenuated by water; this enables detection of transparent (water containing) liquids with high reliability.

Phoenix Contact RIFLINE Relays with Blowout Magnets

Phoenix Contact's RIFLINE Complete family now includes relays with blowout magnets for arc suppression, enabling switching of higher current DC circuits. At low voltages, relays are designed with a contact/air gap sufficient enough to break the arc when the contacts open. When the same relay is used to switch greater DC loads, this same arc can destroy the relay contacts. In applications where circuits have higher current DC loads, relays with blowout magnets can be used to break the arc upon contact opening, “blowing out” the arc. These RIFLINE Complete relays with blowout magnets help extend the life of the relay contacts.

Banner Engineering WLB32 Industrial LED Light Bar

The WLB32 is now available with a built-in motion detector and an eye shield window option in both AC and DC models. 

The passive infrared (PIR) motion detector was developed for use in applications that need an automated way to turn the light on and off. It is ideal for locations that cannot use a physical switch or where the placement of the switch is not useful. While LED lighting provides dramatic energy savings over traditional light sources, further savings can be derived by switching lights off when not in use.
