E-T-A Circuit Breaker/Switch Combination 3120

E-T-A Circuit Breakers is pleased to announce the availability of two new connectors for its well-known 3120 circuit breaker product series - making E-T-A the first circuit breaker manufacturer to offer customers a circuit breaker/switch combination with push-in terminal (3120-PT) or plug-in (Y31214001) wire termination options when installing circuit protection into their designs. 

 Push-in Terminal Connector 
  • Sold as a single component with the appropriate 3120 configurations. (PT specified in terminal configuration of 3120 part number) 
  • Designed for solid wire or wire ferrules, on stranded wire, for correct connection. 
  • When the wire is pushed in, the contact spring opens automatically and provides the required force for a secure connection – 100% protected against brush contact. 
  • In the event the circuit breaker needs to be replaced, the wires are easily released with a standard screw driver. 

Plug-in Connector
  • Sold as an accessory part for the 3120 (part number Y31214001) 
  • Touch-safe connection 
  • Two retaining clips ensure a tight connection between the plug-in connector harness (Y31214001)and the 3120 circuit breaker. 
  • The connector accommodates many 0.250 quick connects available on the market today including: Stocko RSB 7916 F6,3-1, Klaucke Type 2730, Vogt Type 3832d.67, TE FASTON Terminals 250 Series and Delphi Packard 58 Series.

NSK Motorized Ball Screw Actuator

SMC Pneumatics Four Axis Step Motor Controller

SMC Pneumatics has added an Ethernet/IP version to their JXC series of 24VDC step motor controllers. Four electric actuators can be controlled within one package, simplifying wiring and economizing space. Further, the coordination of complex movements has been added. These movements include 2-axis arc or circular interpolation, 3-axis linear interpolation, and 4-axis synchronous positioning.

IDEC SE2L Safety Laser Scanner

The new SE2L safety sensor from IDEC ensures the safety of humans in a hazardous area, or those approaching the machine. One SE2L protects a wide area (270° and 5m) and can be used in a variety of applications such as large-sized systems or long conveyor lines. The stop area can be made smaller by detecting approach at the additional protection zone to start slowdown (conventional configuration of one protection zone + two warning zones is possible). 

An SE2L can monitor two separate hazardous areas to stop machines when detecting the access of humans. No reflective sensor is necessary, thus eliminating the need of optical axis alignment. Can replace two light curtains. The reference monitoring function ensures safety by detecting the positional change of SE2L or reference boundary, such as a door's opening/closing status. 

A maximum of four SE2Ls can be interconnected using RS-485 connectors for master/slave operation.

Turck Ethernet Spanner

Turck introduces the TBEN-L Ethernet spanner, which provides you with a robust protocol converter, a much needed solution for applications dealing with multiple protocols on the same network.

The TBEN-L Ethernet spanner capitalizes on Turck’s multiprotocol technology and serves as an easy way to link multiple Ethernet networks together - even networks that speak different protocols - and its master to master data exchange allows PLCs to exchange data easily.

By utilizing Turck’s multiprotocol Ethernet technology and the embedded Ethernet switch, the device can allow isolated networks to pass data between them (up to 256 bytes), even if the networks are on different Ethernet subnets or using different protocols such as Modbus TCP, PROFINET or EtherNet/IP. Additionally, by utilizing the isolated Ethernet network, the TBEN Ethernet spanner offers the ability to setup a NAT (Network Address Translation) router for up to 5 IP addresses. The devices also include an embedded webserver for a streamlined setup and configuration process.

“The release of Turck’s TBEN Ethernet spanner helps customers who are following the trend of using Ethernet technology to elevate their field I/O to a controller or PLC,” said Randy Durick, Vice President of Turck’s Fieldbus Technology division. “Many automation applications require separate Ethernet networks, and this can add a level of complexity and expense that may not be necessary. This product can simplify applications requiring separate networks with an intuitive setup, while also allowing PLC’s of different protocols to communicate effectively.”

The TBEN-L spanner offers 16 digital inputs that are available to both networks and allows data transfer speeds of up to 100 megabits per second. Additionally, the spanner comes in a glass-fiber reinforced housing with fully potted electronics and offers a IP65, IP67, or IP69K rated housing.
