Phoenix Contact continues the expansion of the TOOL fox product line with the release of the Cutfox-SP Bolt VDE, SE, and SE LM.

The Cutfox-SP Bolt VDE cutting tool, made with inductively hardened blades, is suitable for precise cutting of bolts, nails, rivets, steel wire, or similar hard materials.

The Cutfox SE and SE LM are hardened and tempered diagonal cutters for superior performance when subject to particular strain. The SE LM diagonal cutters offer stripping, crimping, and bending functions, as well as screw pincers up to M3.5/M4.

Phoenix Contact Cable Entry System Multigates

Phoenix Contact continues the expansion of its Cable Entry System (CES) product line with the addition of their low-cost CES Multigates. These space-saving, panel feed-through metal-reinforced cable entry plates offer a high degree of protection (IP66/67) by way of double-membrane sealing. Capable of handling up to 37 cables with an OD from 5 mm up to 60 mm, the CES Multigate product has a UL 94 V-0 flame rating and is oil-resistant (black material).

The CES Multigate offers customers another panel feed-through solution, especially in applications where a panel-mounted connector is not preferred. With a single part number, the CES Multigate provides ordering simplicity, space savings, and a quick and easy method to route unterminated cables through control cabinet enclosure walls.

Panduit TNC Slotted Wall Wiring Duct

Panduit's Type TNC wiring duct offers a flush cover, slotted wiring duct made from low-smoke and halogen-free (LSHF) material that meets the regulatory requirements of the mass transit industry and other regulated environments. The low-smoke and halogen-free material has a UL flammability rating of UL94 V-0 and meets the National Fire Protection Association Standard NFPA 1301 and Federal Rail Administration Guidelines2 for rail transit vehicles. Type TNC wiring duct is compliant with DIN 5510-23 preventative fire protection in railway vehicles, with S-4 burning class, SR-2 smoke class, and ST-2 dripping class ratings.

Phoenix Contact White and Blue Wire Duct

The newest additions to Phoenix Contact's wire duct product line are their white and blue wire duct. 

Certain applications, such as the biotech, oil & gas, food industries and Intrinsically Safe environments, will require the use of white or blue wire duct. For example, the food industry prefers the white wire duct, as it exemplifies their cleanliness. 

The white or blue wire ducts have the same key features as Phoenix Contact's standard wire duct, including the easy-on/easy-off wire duct cover, a single part number for both the duct and cover and two score lines for easily breaking the duct fingers and walls. The white or blue wire ducts are available in the same height, width sizes and 2 m lengths as their standard wire duct. The PVC material has a V0 inflammability rating as per UL 94.

Due to the thin membrane of Santoprene covering the gland, the user can choose how many wires to use, from 1 to 13, by piercing the wire through the dimpled portion of the gland. Regardless of how many wires used, the gland around the wires will retain a liquid tight seal.

Heyco Masthead™ Cordgrips can be used for solar rooftop installations in place of or in conjunction with rooftop combiner boxes for faster connection and lower installed cost. They are less expensive, easier to install and more aesthetically pleasing than combiner boxes when making ground level connections directly to an inverter. The Cordgrips are threaded into an adapter (also available for purchase through Heyco – PN 8660 & 8661) that can be attached directly to rigid (PVC) or EMT type conduit.

Heyco Snap-In Ratcheting Strain Relief

Heyco is pleased to announce that their popular Snap-In Ratcheting Strain Relief (PN 1280) is now removable. The Ratcheting Strain Relief can be easily removed by inserting standard snap ring pliers with .040” tips (Heyco PN 0054) into the two holes located on the outside of the part (see drawing below). Plus, they have lowered the price of this part!

In addition to being removable, the Snap-In Ratcheting Strain Relief offers the following benefits:

• Assembly friendly! Independent of insertion into the panel, the Ratcheting Strain Relief self-locks onto the cable. Thus, it may be preassembled offline for final assembly at a later time or remote location for lower installed cost.
• Installs easily with fingertip pressure into a standard round or Double “D” hole.

Phoenix Contact's new industrial-quality hand tools reduce hand and forearm strain. The comprehensive TOOL fox line includes tools for all work related to control cabinets, including cutting, stripping and crimping, as well as screwdrivers and test equipment.
