80/20 Yellow Powder Coat

80/20 now stocks 1010 profiles in powder-coated safety yellow. The powder coat creates a precise, consistent color match. This is a great product to denote caution and warning and is used frequently in maintenance, facilities, and guarding applications. 

All fasteners, panels and accessories that are 10-series compatible work with these safety-yellow profiles. 

Please keep in mind that when requesting cuts or machining services, the machined area will be exposed, meaning not yellow. 80/20 can provide a machined bar that is still entirely safety-yellow; please allow for increased lead time.

80/20 Inc. Tread Plate, Trespa and ESD Poly Panels

80/20 Inc. is now stocking Tread Plate and Trespa and ESD clear polycarbonate panels.

Tread plate is a strong material with a raised pattern to improve traction.  It lends itself to truck bed liners, garages and workshops.

Trespa is a decorative, impact-resistant panel commonly used for interior applications such as work surfaces and table or desk tops in offices and laboratories.

ESD (electrostatic discharge) clear polycarbonate panels are a material designed to prohibit static electricity.  It is useful in medical and manufacturing processes and clean rooms where you want to minimize the occurrence and likelihood of static shock.  A few examples of typical applications include guards, access panels for electronic equipment, and transparent room partitions.  It also has excellent impact and chemical resistance.

80/20 Routing Services for Thick Plastic Panels

80/20's routing service has been expanded to include 3/8" or 1/2" thick plastic panels so that they can be mounted in the T-slot with a rubber gasket.  The method used to calculate plastic panel dimensions mounted in the T-slot of a frame does not change.

Other panel services can be used on these thicker panels, however, longer mounting screws may be needed for certain panel and door components.

80/20 Inc. New Anodize Breaker and Grounding Terminal

80/20 Inc., manufacturers of "The Industrial Erector Set", recently added two new products to their standard offering of T-slotted aluminum framing profiles and accessories.

The Anodize Breaker penetrates the anodized finish at the seam of the profiles, providing grounding continuity. Simply twist the zinc plated breaker into the slot, tilt at a 45-degree angle and drive the M6 set screw into the seam.

The Grounding Terminal creates a conductive mounting connection to 15 and 40 Series profiles in applications where electrostatic charges must be avoided.
