Turck TTM Miniature Temperature Transmitters

TURCK introduces a new line of temperature transmitters with an analog output that eliminates the need for specialized RTD PLC input cards, saving the user the expense associated with these cards. The transmitters stainless steel connection make them particularly suitable in the food and beverage arena.

The TTM series provide a 4-20 mA output using an integrated PT100 resistance temperature detector. TTM sensors are plug-and-play, and come pre-scaled at 0 to 100 degrees C, 0 to 150 degrees C, -50 to 50 degrees C, or -50 to 150 degrees C.

Phoenix Contact RSC/RBO Ring Lug Terminal Blocks

Phoenix Contact open-style ring screw (RSC) and ring bolt (RBO) terminal blocks are manufactured in a compact, modular design in 9mm and 13mm pitches. Developed as a direct replacement for traditional barrier blocks, RSC and RBO terminals are available in DIN rail or panel-mount versions. Barrier blocks, which utility companies have used for many years in industrial control/switchgear applications, are rigid products with fixed, pre-determined configurations.

SMC Pneumatics LEYG Guide Rod Type Electric Actuator

SMC has further extended its range of electric actuators with the addition of the LEYG guide type actuator. Available in either slide bearing or ball bushing guides, this addition to the series improves rigidity up to 5 times further, increasing the actuators resistance to lateral loads in lifting and stopper applications. As with the LEY series, the LEYG offers a maximum of 64 positions and both positioning and pushing control. Loads of up to 41 kg can be operated and a maximum of 700N of force can be output. Step data can be easily programmed via the controller software or by the separate teaching box.

SMC Pneumatics LEHZJ Two-Finger Electric Gripper with Dust Cover

If you need a high quality, easy to program, electric gripper with IP50 enclosure compatibility, then look no further than SMC's new Series LEHZJ. With similar operational performance and energy saving benefits as their LEHZ electric gripper range, the new LEHZJ model has been designed with a sealed dust cover to eliminate dust, grease splatters or machine cutting particles from entering the internal parts of the gripper.

Depending on your application, the dust cover can be selected from a choice of materials including chloroprene rubber, fluororubber or silicon rubber and as the cover has been designed without any protrusions, the gripper will not interfere with other installed equipment. The LEHZJ range is particularly suitable for eliminating dust contamination of the gripper in paper, moulding and ceramic industries.

SMC Pneumatics EX260 Compact Serial Interface Unit

Fieldbus users working with Profibus-DP, DeviceNet™ and EtherCAT compliant protocols can now reduce their serial interface costs following the launch of SMC´s new Series EX260 compact serial interface unit. Developed at a part of SMC´s rapidly expanding fieldbus product range, R&D engineers from SMC, the worldwide leading experts in pneumatics, have selected the key features from their best selling models and literally compressed them into a single, extremely compact, low cost unit.

Ideal for use in confined spaces, Series EX260 is almost 70% smaller than SMC´s popular EX250/600 range and over 60% smaller than their EX124/126 models and is designed for use with either 16 or 32 valve outputs. Easy installation is ensured as the power connection, bus connector and ground terminal cabling are available from the same side and further design features of the EX260 include the use of individual bus connectors (in/out) thereby allowing the possibility of a daisy chain structure without the need to use extra T connectors. With built-in terminating resistors and individual valve and control bus connectors, the EX260 unit can be located closer to the actuators, thereby reducing expensive piping costs, and by using M12 connectors for both bus and power signals the unit meet both IP65 and IP67 enclosure protection ratings.

The PAF3000-X68 is constructed with stainless steel tightening bolts and air switching valves, making it compatible with various fluids such as pure water and solvent. SMC Pneumatics VDW30/40-XF 2-Port Solenoid Valves

Honeywell Sensing and Control TruStability Pressure Sensors - Liquid Media Option

Until now, Honeywell's TruStability® Pressure Sensors have been intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air and dry gases. Honeywell Sensing and Control SMART Position Sensor - Arc Configuration

The SMART Position Sensor Arc Configurations, which join the 75 mm and 225 mm Linear Configurations launched in December 2009 and October 2010, respectively, sense the position of a magnet relative to a sensor in one of two available sensing ranges: 0° to 100° and 0° to 180°. Turck CAT6 RJ45 Field Wireable Connector

TURCK's new CAT6 RJ45 field wireable connector provides a simple and secure way to extend an Ethernet cable in the field. Whether connecting a peripheral device, repairing/replacing a cable link or extending the network cable, the field wireable allows an on-stie assembly with no special tools for up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks.

The CAT6 RJ45 field wireable consists of two pieces: a color coded adapter and an Ethernet connector. The connector integrates three strain relief settings suitable for cable diameters from 5 to 9 mm, and is shielded to protect the cable from EMC interference.

Pepperl+Fuchs ENX Series AS-Interface Gateways

Pepperl+Fuchs introduces ENX Series AS-Interface Gateways. The ENX series supports both Modbus/TCP and Ethernet/IP protocols for seamless communication with standard and safety networks in a single gateway. They also include a number of advanced features for enhanced network performance and diagnostics retrieval.

“These gateways provide significantly more than just an easy transition from Ethernet to AS-Interface. Where in the past two separate gateways were required to connect to Modbus/TCP and Ethernet/IP, with ENX the entire AS-Interface network is controlled by a single, very powerful, AS-Interface gateway,” says Tim Cicerchi, Product Manager, Industrial Bus and ID Systems, Pepperl+Fuchs.

With ENX gateways, 992 I/O are handled asynchronous to the Ethernet traffic. These fast gateways also scan every AS-i node in 150µs, which enables up to 62 safety e-stops, magnetic switches, and safe outputs to be in one easy to use safety program.

Single master, dual master and dual master with built in safety monitor versions are available to satisfy various AS-Interface application requirements. All models come standard with integrated duplicate address, noise, and ground fault detection functionality. Dual network versions feature redundant power supply connections where either power supply can fail, and the gateway will continue to run while reporting the error to the upper level system.

Options of note include a 16-channel safety version with up to 4 onboard safety channels, where up to 16 channels can be remotely activated using safe output modules. An available memory card enables users to quickly and easily program remote gateways, and to transfer a gateway's configuration and safety program from a failed gateway to a replacement.

“The built in memory card is a very innovative approach to reducing downtime. In the past a maintenance engineer or programmer would have to get a laptop out and connect using Ethernet or RS232 serial connections. Only then could a download be made to a new gateway. Now a simple swap of memory cards and a few key presses on the keypad will transfer the data automatically,” explains Cicerchi.

Gateways are modules that form an interface between the AS-Interface and higher-level buses. Users can install gateways to provide a solution for complex applications using standard products. The gateways act as a slave for the higher-level bus.

Banner Engineering WORLD-BEAM Q20 Sensors

The WORLD-BEAM Q20 product line is a complete product offering of high performance sensors in rectangular housings. The Q20 provides excellent optical performance in a world-wide standard sensor housing with 25.4 mm (1 inch) mounting hole spacing. The target markets are material handling, robotic assembly cells, packaging machinery for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical goods, and people detection in turn-styles and gates.

With the addition of the visible red fixed field background suppression models and increased detection range opposed mode sensors, Banner has expanded the number of applications the Q20 series can solve. The high performance optical design of the fixed field Q20 series is evident in the small emitter beam and well focused optics which provide increased sensing range, out to 150 mm (6 inches) and greater immunity to objects beyond the fixed detection range. Combined with electronic immunity to fluorescent light sources, the Q20 fixed field sensors will result in more reliable and more stable detection in all applications.

As a part of Banner’s continuous improvement program, the opposed mode sensor lenses were improved resulting in additional sensing range of 2 m in the visible red models, and an additional 5 m range in the infra-red models. Sensor apertures are available to shape the effective sensing beam to the part being detected, and polarized filter pairs allow multiple opposed mode sensor pairs to be used in close proximity without cross talk.
