Specialized firmware delivers superior ease of use and simplified set-up right out of the box. With the totalizer enabled, you can set a fixed number of detection events per output pulse. The output triggers once when the total is reached. An off-delay can also be used to address PLC scan time delays during high speed counting.

  • Unique firmware designed to achieve accurate, high speed, low contrast performance for small object detection applications
  • Percent-based threshold selectable from 2% to 50% for sensitivity adjustment
  • Automatic Gain Compensation (AGC) algorithm compensates for dust build-up on fiber optics to extend counting cycle and maintain count accuracy
  • Intelligent Dynamic Event Stretcher (DES) minimizing chance for double-counting, even with non-uniform objects (i.e. gel caps, washers, etc.)
  • Alarm output provides notification upon extended block condition and marginal signal condition
  • Totalizer feature allows user to configure output after certain count value is achieved
  • Three TEACH methods include Window TEACH, Light Set TEACH, and Dynamic TEACH
  • Fast response speeds of 25, 50, 150, 250, and 500 microseconds
  • Easy to read dual digital displays show both signal level and threshold simultaneously
  • Simple to use interface for easy setup and programming
  • ECO (economy) display mode reduces amplifier power consumption by 25%

Schneider Electric Modicon M221 PLC

The Next Generation of MachineStruxure automation solution is comprised of a new family of controllers such as the new Modicon M221 PLC. Programmed with the intuitive SoMachine Basic software, the M221 PLC offers best-in-class performance coupled with flexibility and value.

The Modicon M221 PLC is available in either a Brick (Compact) or Book (Modular) format with class leading features like an embedded Ethernet port, SD Card slot for firmware and project updates, 2 on-board Analog Inputs and 2 Pulse Train Outputs (PTO) with S-Curve capability for smooth hardwired motion. A USB programming port is also standard, and if your application needs additional I/O points, the Modicon M221 gives you the option to use cost-effective TMC expansion cartridges, the new TM3 I/O Cards or utilize your existing TM2 based I/O architectures.

Rittal Power Isolation Enclosure

Safety and machine up time are two of the most important considerations on the production floor, especially when it comes to high-current electrical equipment. To lessen concern of these critical factors on engineers and service personnel, the brain trust at Rittal has developed a technology that minimizes the risk of arc flash explosions in the smart, highly engineered way that only Rittal can.

When considering safety and design flexibility during the planning stage, Rittal’s Power Isolation Enclosure solutions provide the capability to isolate high- and low-voltage equipment within the confines of their respective enclosure, assisting in compliance with NFPA 70E work place safety standards.
  • Rittal’s off-the-shelf power isolution solutions decrease the risk of personnel being exposed to arc flash and related injuries
  • Rittal’s solutions provide the capability to isolate low-voltage equipment and components used for programming, data acquisition, and system adjustment from high voltage components
  • High-voltage line-side power is isolated within its own disconnect switch enclosure
  • Accessories, such as external fold-down shelves, external data pockets, and interface flaps and extensions, allow for data retrieval, equipment monitoring, and routine maintenance to be performed externally without exposure to arc flash hazards
  • Customizable configurations and solutions from standard components provide an unlimited choice of low-voltage and high-voltage cabinet combinations to suit your specific application
