Schneider Electric XB5R Wireless Pushbutton Dual-Action Transmitter
Schneider Electric has expanded its wireless push button line with the dual-action transmitter that works as an electronic momentary switch allowing for more precise movements while still providing all the same benefits as the existing offer. In addition, the dual-action transmitter reduces the number of push buttons essential for remote control stations such as "jogging" a conveyor belt forward. The way the new dual-action transmitter works is it provides a two pulse signal from a single press and release. One signal is sent when the button is pressed and another is sent when the button is released.

Turck Inclinometers for Class I, Div 2
TURCK announces its single and dual axis inclinometer is now approved for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous classified locations, allowing the device to function in environments where explosive gases, vapors and/or liquids may be present.
The single and dual axis inclinometers also have models available with ATEX approval for use within EX Zones 2 and 22. The TURCK single and dual axis inclinometers feature dual programmable analog outputs. TURCK offers a teach adapter which simplifies the programming of the inclinometer. With measuring ranges up to 360 degrees, the single and dual axis inclinometers provide flexible operation for use in a wide range of industries.
“We’ve taken the inclinometer’s capabilities one step further with Class I, Division 2 approval,” said Marty Cwach, Product Manager at TURCK. “Now, in addition to quality and precise measurement, our customers can meet extensive industry requirements with its use in hazardous environments.”
To meet the requirements of CID2, a physical protection guard must be used in conjunction with the inclinometer. This guard provides physical protection to the sensor and satisfies the requirement for a tool removable cover.
Equipped with MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical system) technology, the inclinometer solves unique feedback requirements by accurately measuring angular tilt in reference to gravity. TURCK inclinometers offer rugged, IP68-rated housing and reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -40 to +70°C.

Banner Engineering WLS28-2 Dual-Color LED Strip Lights
Banner Engineering's WLS28-2 Dual-Color LED Strip Lights were developed for applications where more than one color is required. Having two colors in one device makes the lights ideal for applications such as mobile vehicle illumination, where red light makes it easier for the operator's eyes to transition to dark areas at night. Another example is machine status indication, where alternating colors illuminate equipment during an error condition.
FEATURES
- Enhanced light quality which bright, densely-spaced LEDs.
- Optional three-position switch for manual color selection.
- Rugged, water-resistant IP69K models available.
- Internal temperature control to protect the device in extreme conditions.
- Cascadable models allow control of several lights with one power cable.
- Low-profile, space-saving design.
- Available in four lengths from 285 to 1130mm.
- Optional snap clips for easy installation and repositioning.

Phoenix Contact Inline Modular Intrinsically Safe I/O
Potentially explosive areas place special requirements on distributed I/O systems, and Phoenix Contact's Inline modular product family is excited for the addition of EX-IS I/O for such applications. EX-IS I/O can be installed directly in potentially explosive Zone 2 environments and wired to sensors and actuators in the highly explosive Zone 1 and 0 environments.
Traditionally, you run the I/O signals out of the hazardous locations and wire them directly to the PLC. This method has the potential to create long parallel wiring runs that could become bulky, expensive and time consuming to install. Removing the I/O from the PLC and distributing it closer to sensors directly in the Zone 2 environment can save time and money by simply replacing those wires with a single Ethernet or serial communications cable.
The construction of in Inline modular intrinsically safe I/O station consists of the following three pieces:
- Bus Coupler - Handles the communications of I/O signals back to the PLC. Interface modules are available from the Inline modular product family and support all major serial and Ethernet protocols.
- Power Module - Provides fully isolated power for the EX-IS I/O modules. An IS station can only contain one PWR module, and this module can supply power for up to 10 modules, or 1A of total current draw. If this limit is reached, a second I/O station will need to be created.
- IS I/O Modules - They provide the connection to the I/O signals in Zone 1 and 0. This offering consists of three variations for digital, analog, and temperature signals. Each module can be individually configured as inputs or outputs with additional configurations for signal type and filtering. This type of flexibility allows you to quickly adapt via software to the changing needs of your applications.

Phoenix Contact Cable Gland Product Offering Expanded
Cabinet builders and panel shops require simple, low-cost methods to route cables through enclosures. For this reason, Phoenix Contact has expanded its existing portfolio to include even more thead sizes in metric, PG and NPT. All types are now available in polyamide or nickel-plated brass material. Additionally, stainless steel types are now offered for very harsh and corrosive environments.
Among the most exciting additions are the cable glands and accessories for hazardous locations. Phoenix Contact now offers both stainless steel and nickel brass glands with ATEX and IEC Ex certification for systems/equipment in explosive atmospheres. They can be used in combination with armored cable or braided loom, which are both common in harsh environments. Accessories such as breather drains and plugs are necessary to prevent condensation and provide ventilation from inside the enclosure to the outside environment.
FEATURES
- Polyamide glands rated for -30° to +80°C and IP68 protection
- Nickel-plated brass glands rated for -40° to +100°C and IP68/69k protection
- Stainless steel glands rated for -60° to +130°C and IP66/67/68 protection
- All metal glands suitable for jacketed cable, armored cable and braided loom
- Compatible with standard Phoenix Contact cable protection products
