Phoenix Contact Wind Tower Lighting UPS 13 Ah-2404528

In today’s wind industry, there is a need for better lighting inside wind towers for safety and simply convenience. If a power failure were to occur while a technician is in the tower, Phoenix Contact's UPS will maintain lighting for a minimum 30 minutes, so that the technician can descend safely. This UPS system accompanies the PLD series of lights specifically created for wind towers.

Phoenix Contact Tunnel and Highway Lighting Solutions

Phoenix Contact's ATS is a complete solution for tunnel lighting that allows the customer to monitor, control, and manage a tunnel lighting system. The design can be flexible depending on customer preference. Operators have the ability to change settings, such as brightness levels, manually or remotely via a web-based HMI. And with the U.S highway infrastructure due for an upgrade, LED lighting has become the solution of choice for tunnel lighting applications.

The system design uses four lighting sensors outside of the tunnel, which allows the system to determine the lighting inside the tunnel. Then, the ATS system controls various LED gateways to manipulate the lighting in various areas of the tunnel. The LUMGATE, or LED gateway, is Phoenix Contact’s very own lighting gateway that can connect eight LED drivers that communicate via INTERBUS. This optimizes the overall solution and allows the ATS to measure current consumption for energy management.

FEATURES
  • Up to 240 lighting points without addressing
  • Four luminance sensors with 25 different thresholds
  • Predictive lighting maintenance
  • Extended diagnostics
  • Auto-calibration
  • Integration and adaption
  • Plug and play

Phoenix Contact EAGLEi Remote Monitoring

Phoenix Contact's EAGLEi Cellular RTU is a remote monitoring solution offered jointly by Phoenix Contact and EAGLEi Data LLC. This solution uses secure cloud-based data management to allow access to remote systems via a cellular network. The EAGLEi Cellular RTU is great for industries such as water/wastewater, oil and gas, or any remote application that needs monitoring.

This is effectively gather data from your distributed assets without the large capital investment. No software purchases or maintaining of data servers is required.

With the flexibility you can cut your ties to the control room and make your data available wherever an Internet connection exists. View your remote assets via computer, tablet, or smartphone. Be notified of alarms via e-mail or text message.

Have peace of mind through protected connection, collection, storage, and retrieval of your data. All data is secured through a next-generation security platform and stored on redundant servers. Retrieval of data requires user/password authentication.

Red Lion PID Controller Portfolio

Red Lion Controls, the global experts in communication, monitoring and control for industrial automation and networking, announces additional features for its PXU series of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers, including Ramp/Soak, CT Input, 2nd Analog Input and 2nd Analog Output. The PXU series is designed to enable tighter, more reliable control over a wide range of processes, including temperature, flow and pressure, from a single model.

Production engineers and machine builders now have the opportunity to select from a wide range of controllers with varying capabilities and in three sizes (1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 DIN models). Integration with Red Lion’s Crimson enabled hardware provides a complete indication, data acquisition & control solution for virtually any application.

The additional features allow customers to use one source for their process control needs. For example, for processes requiring different temperatures, the Ramp/Soak capability allows timeline vs. temperature programming for the process that will automatically be run by the PXU. With CT input, high current signals can be transferred to lower ones in order to be safely accepted by a PID controller or panel meter. For remote changing of a PID controller’s setpoint value, the 2nd Analog Input allows modification from an external device.

“By offering PID controllers with a range of different features, plus the ability to easily integrate with an HMI, customers have the advantage of purchasing one solution to handle whatever their applications require,” said Jeff Thornton, product manager at Red Lion Controls. “Many users have applications that need specific features and functions, and our offerings provide the flexibility to simply tailor a complete solution from one manufacturer.”

Phoenix Contact BL2 7000 Series IPC

Phoenix Contact's BL2 series industrial PC platform has been expanded to include a third CPU choice, offering high-performance in a small, compact form factor.

The new BL2 7000 series features a seventh-generation Intel Core i5-7442EQ quad-core CPU for the most demanding control and visualization applications.

Phoenix The BL2 7000 utilizes convection booster technology to improve cooling in applications with insufficient airflow. An added benefit of this technology is that it does not draw any dirt, dust, or contaminants to the inside of the PC.

The BL2 family is available in three performance classes (1000/2000/7000) as a blind-node box IPC (wall-mount or DIN rail-mount) or as an all-in-one panel PC with three screen sizes ranging 12 to 17 inches (4:3 aspect ratio with resistive-touch screen). For applications requiring capacitive widescreen, the BL2 can also combine with the BL FPM monitor series ranging from 15.6- to 21.5-inch screen sizes.

All BL2 family IPCs exclusively use the latest generation M.2 solid-state drive technology with drive sizes ranging from 30 GB to 480 GB. All BL2s also offer an option for an integrated Wi-Fi module (802.11 a/b/g/n).

BL2 utilizes the latest Windows 10 IOT Enterprise operating system, which is designed with the unique requirements of industrial applications in mind. As opposed to the home or office-grade versions, this “industrialized” version of Windows 10 gives users full control over O/S upgrades and features a reduced footprint to fit on smaller, more cost-efficient mass-storage media.
