Telemecanique Sensors Wireless and Battery-less Limit Switches Now Available in Miniature Size

The groundbreaking wireless and battery-less limit switch technology released in 2015 by Schneider Electric Telemecanique Sensors is now available in the most compact form on the market. Available now in miniature, this cutting-edge limit switch technology continues to revolutionize detection applications. XC Wireless and battery-less Limit Switches can be used in a wide variety of applications and new usages are emerging every day. Examples include presence, position, or level detection in remote locations, rotating or moving parts of a system, and remote control applications.

Wireless

The wireless and battery-less technology from Telemecanique Sensors simplifies machine communication where cabling is difficult, expensive, or unwanted. It is the perfect way to give mobile machines more freedom of movement. The technology also drastically reduces maintenance. When the operator pushes the button or when the limit-switch head is actuated, mechanical energy is transformed into electrical energy. This supplies the transmission of a one-time radio message to one or multiple receivers. In addition, up to 32 push buttons and/or limit-switches can be synchronized to one receiver, providing even greater mobility in any environment.

Easy to Install

The bodies of the wireless and battery-less limit switches from Telemecanique Sensors have been designed to fit in extremely compact areas. The new, miniature version of the switch (XCMW) is compatible with proven Limit Switches like the XCKS and XCKM lines from Telemecanique Sensors. To further simplify the installation process, both the original EN50041 format and the miniature format versions come in plug-and-play kits and are offered in out-of-the-box compatible packs comprising the transmitter and a receiver.

Green and Energy Saving

The self-powered technology of XC Wireless and battery-less Limit Switches from Telemecanique Sensors eliminates battery replacement, battery recycling, and reduces raw materials. The wireless technology of XC Wireless and battery-less Limit Switches also eliminates cables and other materials necessary to connect power to the switch.

XC Limit Switches from Telemecanique Sensors are available with a comprehensive range of actuation heads. Pairing the transmitter to the receiver is an easy, quick, 4-step process that takes only a few minutes. Receivers are available in two types: a basic digital receiver for local control or an Ethernet TCP/IP gateway receiver for remote monitoring.

Finally, XC Wireless and battery-less Limit Switches from Telemecanique Sensors have a 100m (328 ft.) wireless communication range. That range can be doubled with a dedicated antenna.
