Phoenix Contact's BL2 series industrial PC platform has been expanded to include a third CPU choice, offering high-performance in a small, compact form factor.
The new BL2 7000 series features a
seventh-generation Intel Core i5-7442EQ quad-core CPU for the most
demanding control and visualization
applications.
All BL2 family IPCs exclusively use the latest generation M.2 solid-state drive technology with drive sizes ranging from 30 GB to 480 GB. All BL2s also offer an option for an integrated Wi-Fi module (802.11 a/b/g/n).
BL2 utilizes the latest Windows 10 IOT Enterprise operating system, which is designed with the unique
requirements of industrial applications in mind. As opposed to the home or office-grade versions, this
“industrialized” version of Windows 10 gives users full control over O/S upgrades and features a reduced
footprint to fit on smaller, more cost-efficient mass-storage media.

The BL2 7000 utilizes convection
booster technology to improve cooling
in applications with insufficient airflow.
An added benefit of this technology is
that it does not draw any dirt, dust, or
contaminants to the inside of the PC.
The BL2 family is available in three performance classes (1000/2000/7000) as a blind-node box IPC (wall-mount
or DIN rail-mount) or as an all-in-one panel PC with three screen sizes ranging 12 to 17 inches (4:3 aspect ratio
with resistive-touch screen). For applications requiring capacitive widescreen, the BL2 can also combine with the
BL FPM monitor series ranging from 15.6- to 21.5-inch screen sizes. All BL2 family IPCs exclusively use the latest generation M.2 solid-state drive technology with drive sizes ranging from 30 GB to 480 GB. All BL2s also offer an option for an integrated Wi-Fi module (802.11 a/b/g/n).
