Phoenix Contact SFNT Extended Temperature Ethernet Switch

Phoenix Contact expands its SFN line of unmanaged Ethernet switches with the introduction of five wide-temperature versions for harsh environment applications. SFNT switches support Layer 1 port blocks and cable locks and can process and prioritize QoS just like their sibling, the SFN. Additionally, the SFNT offers customers superior price and functionality value while providing highly reliable industrial Ethernet connections for a wide range of applications.

SFNT switches have the following features:
  • Five or eight 10/100mbps ports
  • Multimode fiber (100mbps) with SC & ST connections available
  • Plug-and-play simplicity with no software configuration
  • Wide temperature range: -40 C to +75 C
  • Redundant power supply inputs
  • Alarm contact for power and link monitoring
  • UL 1604 Class I, Division 2 certification (pending)
  • Marine certifications (GL, DNV, ABS, LR) in Q4 2009
  • Supports Layer 1 port security
  • QoS packet processing and prioritization maintain optimum performance of critical messages
  • User-selectable port link monitoring via onboard DIP switch
  • Increased noise immunity: exceeds IEC 61000-4
  • Superior shock (25 G) and vibration (5 G) ratings
  • Compact size case for space sensitive applications
