Phoenix Contact's new series of the SPTAF 1 Ex rated PCB terminal blocks was designed to meet the stringent safety requirements of “Ex eb” protection, according to IEC 60079-7 for potentially explosive areas. These terminal blocks include all the advantages of the SPTAF 1 connector family – a low overall height, high current-carrying capacity, and intuitive Push-in wire termination. Versions that are color-coded by wire position are also available upon request. FEATURES
Time-saving push-in connection requires no special tools.
Small component size makes it efficient where space is at a premium.
The color-coded actuation lever makes for intuitive use.
Integrated test points makes for quick and convenient circuit testing.
Banner Engineering's new Wireless Pressure Solutions Kit makes it easy to deploy predictive maintenance solutions that measure air, gas, and fluid pressure. Monitor system performance and health from any network-enabled location and have access to timely, accurate data that can be used to make better, more informed decisions about your systems and strategically plan maintenance and service schedules based on actual need, as well as staff and resource availability. FEATURES
Provides visual status for up to 40 Banner pressure sensors attached to Performance Series Nodes that are bound to the included DXM Wireless Controller.
Takes a sample every five minutes and compares sensor data to user-defined low or high warnings and/or alarms for a visual indication of potential problems.
At-a-glance status indication shows the communication status for each Sensor Node.
As electronic devices shrink in size, the complexity contained inside the housing only increases. Compact device designs require components that aid with design flexibility by allowing designers to position PCBs at the appropriate angles and distances from each other. The FINEPITCH series of connectors from Phoenix Contact helps by coming in multiple orientations, stack heights, and number of positions. New from Phoenix Contact is an unshielded connector in the FP 0,8 series. This connector is ideal for those applications that do not require electromagnetic compatibility due to EMI concerns. FEATURES
Ruggedized design is suitable for demanding applications.
Gold-plated contact ensures reliable data transfer.
Double contact system allows for a wipe length of 1.5 mm.
Multiple stack heights facilitate wide array of design options.
SMC Corporation of America’s MGPM-X3159 compact guide cylinders are now more lightweight and compact due to the adoption of a rectangular piston. FEATURES
Width: Up to 21% reduction.
Weight: Up to 37% reduction.
Overall Length: Up to 7% reduction.
The allowable lateral load and the allowable kinetic energy are the same as those of the existing MGP series model.
The allowable rotational torque of the plate and the non-rotating accuracy are the same as those of the existing MGP series model.
The SMC Corporation of America CDQ2B-X3166 compact cylinder is capable of providing double the force of the CQ2 series without changing the width. FEATURES
No change in cylinder width, due to adoption of a rectangular piston.
Weight reduced by 51% and overall length reduced by 50% compared to the standard CQ2 series.
Honeywell’s MicroForce FMA Series are compensated and amplified sensors, providing high accuracy and reliability in a cost-effective format. They read force over the specified full scale force span and temperature range. Besides the enhanced performance, the FMA Series allow multiple standard configurations over a wide operating temperature range. The products have been designed to meet your needs for medical and industrial (robotic and automation) applications. The small form-factor supports new designs and the digital output reduces the time and cost of new product development projects within medical and industrial applications. FEATURES
Small form factor: 5mm x 5mm [0.20 in x 0.20 in]
Accuracy: ±2 %FSS typical
SPI- or I2C-compatible digital output
Fully calibrated and temperature compensated over a temperature range of 5°C to 50°C [41°F to 122°F]
Available in a wide variety of standard and configurable force ranges
Phoenix Contact continues the expansion of the TOOL fox product line with the release of the Crimpfox Vario 4S and 16S, for uninsulated, insulated, and twin ferrules, with a high-quality square crimp profile. Crimpfox Vario 4S
22-12 AWG uninsulated and insulated single ferrules
20-16 AWG twin ferrules
Crimpfox Vario 16S
10-6 AWG uninsulated and insulated single ferrules
Phoenix Contact continues the expansion of the TOOL fox product line with the release of the Cutfox-ES series, three industrial-grade electrician’s scissors. The Cutfox-ES 1 is designed for cutting up to 8 AWG and removing the insulation on up to 2 AWG cables. The Cutfox-ES 2 is designed for cutting, stripping, and crimping. It will cut and remove the jacket of a cable up to 1/0, strip 16 and 14 AWG, and crimp 10 AWG ring lugs. And the Cutfox-MPS is designed to cut plastic sheets and cardboard. The new scissors are an extension of the Cutfox-ES, suitable for Kevlar fibers and braided-shield cables up to 16 AWG solid conductors, or 10 AWG stranded conductors.
